I am well
aware that Physics Today is in hands of people who have no respect for
the right of free speech from my own experience. What is so curious is that they published a big spread on one
Mario Savio who was a "Free Speech Movement" rabble rouser at
Berkeley quite some time ago, the article was sheer propaganda and contained
factual errors. At the same time Physics
Today pushes Fidel Castro emissaries and demands that they be allowed to
come to the USA for a visit.
Writing to
Brodsky would do no good — I tried to reason with him before and found him
impervious to any views that are not his own.
It's just one of those things.
When a clique like the one currently in charge of PT moves in and
takes over one must decide whether to spend the rest of his free time to battle
it or forget about it. I, of course,
support your efforts for what it is worth and wish you luck. PT editor is, in my opinion, an
ethically disadvantages person who should be removed.
Sincerely,
