As relayed
to me by friends of Jeffrey Schmidt, AIP's actions strike me as unprofessional
and reprehensible, and the reported staff environment bordering on the
totalitarian.
Many years
ago I did some science writing and became familiar with AIP, mainly through its
late public relations executive, Eugene Kone.
I had a very positive view of the organization.
If your view
of the situation differs from the friends of Schmidt, I would welcome having
the facts.
